Alaina Wegner is an award-winning a cappella arranger, music educator, and vocal director based in Tucson, Arizona.
Alaina’s arrangements are known for being compelling and competitive, designed to stand out on stage while giving groups a distinct musical identity. From dark, cinematic textures to emotionally resonant ballads, her work spans a wide range of genres and styles. In addition to individual charts, Alaina is passionate about the artistic design of competition sets, crafting musical arcs that are cohesive, dynamic, and impactful.
With academic training in Music Education at the University of Arizona and extensive experience in contemporary vocal arranging, she has received multiple Outstanding Arrangement Awards from Varsity Vocals’ ICCA, the 2025 A Cappella Video Award for Outstanding Competition Set, and five Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award nominations including recognition in the Best Professional Mixed Arrangement category. In 2023, she led her collegiate a cappella group to become the first from Arizona to advance to the ICCA Finals in New York City.
Beyond arranging, Alaina directs the a cappella program at the Tucson Girls Chorus where she works with young vocalists to develop artistry, ensemble skills, and a love for contemporary vocal music. Her work spans high school and collegiate groups across the country with a focus on empowering students in the contemporary a cappella scene.
